Periodic Table of Fungicides 4.0 (UWP)

Version 4.0 is a major update to the previous electronic version (3.2), which was released in 2012. Version 4.0 includes updates to the data for all entries. Newly named fungicides and their structures have been added. Various types of information were add including CAS registry numbers, years of first registration or launch, vapor pressure and basic efficacy spectrum. Search capability has been improved by adding a Structure by Mode of Action search feature. In addition to displaying the major crop uses for each fungicide, a comprehensive crop list has been added through which the main fungicides used for each crop can be found.  Along with updates to data, the user interface has been updated that facilitates better coordination between each of the application views.

Microsoft's Windows 10 UWP (Universal Windows Platform) version.

This version of the  Periodic of Table of Fungicides application has been designed for Tablets and touch devices such as laptops and workstations with touch screens. That is, all operations can be carried out using touch.

This version for Microsoft's Windows 10 operating systems can be downloaded from the Windows App Store with installation placing the App in the collection of tiles on the start screen. Simply tapping on the tile will launch the app. Future updates will also use the standard App Store update mechanism through  the App Store start screen tile.

Note: A desktop version (workstations and laptops) is available that can also be used on tablets running Windows 10. Most operations can be performed using touch; however, the desktop version was primarily designed for use with a pointing device such as a mouse.

The Fungicide App, in addition to the Periodic Table of Fungicides view, has a number of different views based upon the properties of the fungicides such as alphabetical name, by crop name, by class name and Mode of Action (MOA).

bulletPeriodic Table 4.0 -  displays an interactive periodic table where selecting on a fungicide cell will display the properties of the fungicide.
bulletFungicide Properties - displays the properties of the fungicide and permits navigating to other fungicides.
bulletFungicide Annotations - displays the annotations for all fungicides and permits editing existing annotations and adding new ones. The version permits multiple date-time stamped text for each fungicide.  Application permits use of multiple annotation files. For example, one could be a reference annotation file and the other could be for general observations or documentation. Windows 7/10 desktop and Windows 10 UWP versions use the same format so annotation files could be used on multiple computers or tablets.
bulletClass Descriptions - displays the complete list of classes and their descriptions.
bulletFungicides A to Z - displays the complete list of fungicides in alphabetical fungicide name order - selecting a fungicide name displays its properties.
bulletBy Class - this has two views -- one view shows a list of fungicides for a class by name and the other displays a molecular structure for each fungicide. Selecting a fungicide name or structure will display the properties of the fungicide.
bulletBy Crop - this has two views - one view shows a list of fungicides for the selected crop and the other view and the other displays a molecular structure for each fungicide.  Selecting a fungicide name or structure will display the properties of the fungicide. In addition, an arrow will be placed next to all other crops that the selected fungicide can be used for.
bulletBy MOA (Mode of Action) - This view displays structures of fungicides that have the selected mode of action. Selecting a fungicide structure will display the properties of the fungicide.
bulletElement Periodic Table - displays an interactive periodic table where selecting an element cell will display the properties of the element.
bulletViews can be printed.
bulletEach view has a help page.

The following view shows the Main Menu where the different views are launched. Tapping on a button will display the corresponding View. For example, tapping on the 'Periodic Table 3.2' button will display the view shown below the Main Menu view.

Periodic Table of Fungicides with Data-View for selected fungicide at position 1. Tapping on the arrow button in the upper left corner will return the App to the Main Menu View.  Tapping the various arrow button will move the fungicide selection to either the previous/next fungicide position or the previous/next fungicide in the class. Tapping on a fungicide cell within the table will select the fungicide. Tapping on a print button will either print the table or the data view. Tapping on the help (question mark) button will display a help page and tapping on the Legend button will display the legend and other information relevant to the table. Tapping on the new annotation button (page with plus sign and pencil) pops up a view for entering a new annotation.

View showing an alphabetical list of fungicides where tapping on a fungicide name will display its properties.

View showing the list of fungicide classes. Tapping on a class will display the molecular structure of each fungicide in the selected class. Tapping on a fungicide structure will display its properties.

View showing the list of fungicide crops, crop groups and utilities. Tapping on a crop will display the molecular structure of each fungicide applicable for the selected crop. Tapping on a fungicide structure will display its properties.
