The purpose of the mobile app is to provide a tool to facilitate accessing
fungicide and element data through a number of database query views. The views
are derived from querying an embedded relational database that contains the
fungicide data shown in the list on the left side.. For example, the Properties
panel view on the
right shows data for flutolanil in the 'Rhizoctonia and other diseases' class.
Most of the views have multiple panels that are accessed via tapping on the
title of the panel or using a swipe gesture to move the panel into view. For
example, in the data view tapping on the 'Classes' title will display the
Class-View which contains a list of classes or tapping on the 'Fungicides' title
will display a list of fungicides for the currently selected class. In typical
usage, tapping on a class name to select it will automatically move the
'Fungicides' panel into view and then tapping on a fungicide name to select it
will automatically move the 'Properties' panel into view. Navigating to select
another class or fungicide is facilitated through tapping on the their
respective panel title or swipe gesture.

Each color coded column is linked to a class and a class may have more than
one column. Due to the small screen size that phones have the view has been
designed to be scrollable in x and y directions and scalable. Tapping on a
fungicide cell in the table will automatically move to a data view that shows
all of the properties of the fungicide along with its molecular structure. In
the data view there are navigation buttons for quickly navigating to other
fungicides within a class or navigating to the previous/next fungicide in the
table. Also, a position number can be entered to quickly get to a fungicide
with a known position number. |
